War of the Currents is a hand-drawn platformer, which in its graphic style refers to the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth century. The action was set in New York, and the plot is intertwined with legendary inventors from years ago. Here Nikolai Tesla meets the dark version of Thomas Edison, who made a pact with the Devil's Faust.

Together they kidnap the city's inhabitants to convert them into members of their soulless armies. Armed with an electric glove, Tesla starts to save the situation. The game offers a lot of platform jumping, but the emphasis here is mainly on hand to hand combat.

Many times only defeating all enemies in a given location will open the way to a further hand. Naturally, on our way we will meet more and more powerful versions of various pupae. In time, we will have to eliminate more and more monsters up to the most powerful ones - bosses of systems.

The hero's basic skills include bundles of blows with a glove, an attack from the air, and knocking the enemy upwards after a strike, allowing the chain of blows to be brought out of the jump, while avoiding the attacks of monsters on the ground. In an emergency, Tesla can also generate a protective field and a stunning charge flying straight away, which is useful when it is difficult for us to get to someone shooting from afar. In addition, each blow is filled with a special skill bar, after which we deal additional lightning damage.

War of the Currents is a very nice game and although the game may seem a bit trivial at times, it is worth trying your hand at it, because some evolutions will require from the player a lot of dexterity and cunning.
