VMware Workstation is a multi-platform application created for virtualization of "a whole range of" operating systems - from early editions of Windows, through Linux, Solaris, to NetWare and BSD. The tool can also handle all kinds of devices and peripherals, including those connected to COM and USB ports. Both those using USB 1.1 and 2.0.
The program includes a number of simplifications - one of them is the ability to freely transfer data between the host and the virtual computer on a drag-and-drop basis. It is also noteworthy that the application, as one of the few, thanks to a small modification of a selected virtual machine file, allows you to support 3D acceleration.
