uTorrent (µTorrent) is one of the most popular clients of the BitTorrent network. For years it has been characterized by small size, low demand for system resources and rich functionality. Although recently the application has become significantly overweight and started to display ads, its popularity is still very high.

The program allows you to download files shared by users from all over the world (music, movies, software, etc.), distributed in the form of files with the .torrent extension. It offers many functions, including the option of downloading multiple files at once, queuing tasks, prioritizing, as well as setting transfer limits and cataloguing data. The application provides a lot of detailed information about the downloaded file.

Thanks to them we can preview the so-called seeds and peers, list of trackers and clients, and a graph illustrating the transfer of files from and to our computer. Additionally, uTorrent is equipped with an RSS reader and a useful function to turn off, reset or hibernate the computer after downloading or performing all tasks. The latest versions of uTorrent are no longer as light as they used to be, although it is still a very popular and valued program.

The new interface, although it displays ads, is user-friendly even for beginners. The program has a built-in browser that allows you to launch multimedia content and search for free torrent files. It also allows you to rate downloaded data, stream media and share files using drag-and-drop methods.

The application also integrates a special chat (uChat), you can control it from your Android smartphone. The program is available for free and has an interface in Polish.
