UMPlayer (Universal Multimedia Player) is an advanced audio and video player, based on the popular MPlayer. Play media in almost any format, AudioCD, DVD-Video (including secured), VCD/SVCD, YouTube clips, and streaming. The program supports most of the most popular TVNVIDIAFM cards.
The player has about 270 different codecs and audio/video filters built in, allowing you to view media in AAC, AC3, ASF, AVI, DIVX, FLV, H.263, Matroska, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG, OGG, QT, RealMedia, VOB, Vorbis, WAV, WMA, WMV, XVID and many more formats without the need to install any additional components on your computer. The program is characterized by a low demand for system resources, which is its great advantage. Like most competing solutions, UMPlayer offers subtitles, automatic search and sync, screenshots, search and download YouTube clips (without the need for a web browser), as well as extensive possibilities to change the settings of the displayed video and audio playback.
The program supports multiple filters, Deinterlacing and Aspect Ratio function, Stereo, Surround 4.1/5.0 audio playback, and more. UMPlayer, despite its extensive capabilities, is considered to be a light and easy to use program. The advantage of the player is the availability of the Polish language version and compatibility with Windows and Linux platforms.
Edition for Mac OS is currently in the development phase and has not been released.
