UltraEdit is an advanced editor with a large number of useful features, created mainly for programmers. The program is one of the best text editors and hexadecimal for programmers in the world. Windows users have known it since 1994.
UltraEdit offers a range of interesting and unparalleled tools for simple text editing, multi-language syntax highlighting programming and hexadecimal binary file editing. The programming languages supported by UltraEdit include C, C#, Javascript, HTML, XML, PHP, Perl Fortran, Python and JavaScript. Files with source code are of course divided into projects, which can include both files stored on a local disk and on a (S)FTP server.
UltraEdit would be like without the advanced search and replacement of phrases in text and FTP/FTPS client. The program supports large files (even over 4 GB), has fully configurable keyboard mapping, syntax highlighting and coloring, spell-checking module, and a useful search bar (Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, PHP.net, cplusplus.com). The most appreciated feature of UltraEdit is the ability to search and replace character strings in an open file or files in a given location.
The Find/Goom function in UltraEdit can be used in column mode, using regular expressions (Perl, UNIX and others), in line listing mode with search results and much more. The column mode, for which the editor is also known, makes it easy to perform unusual operations on the text (useful mainly in a hexadecimal editor), such as column summing, operations on text containing delimiters, quick selection of text blocks, the ability to place markers, and so on.
