TransType is a powerful software for converting fonts. However, it also includes many other useful features, including font troubleshooting. Using this application shouldn't cause anyone any problems, because the font conversion operation is based on three simple steps.

First we need to add to the main program window a selected number of fonts in any format (including VFB and UFO) or the entire package available in the ZIP archive. After completing this step, specify the output font format, and then click the "convert" button. It is worth noting that TransType allows you to convert single fonts, but can also work in batch mode.

TransType also allows you to manage your fonts, which you can edit in a variety of ways. You can merge and split fonts and modify the font name of the type. Interestingly, when converting, the program automatically updates the font to the latest and best version, so you don't have to be afraid that there will be any errors when using it.

Interestingly, TransType generates font samples in PDF format and allows you to create glyph maps.
