TomTom HOME is an application designed to install and update maps and other items on your TomTom navigation devices. Through the program, we can purchase new maps and add-ons, and then copy them directly to the device or memory card in the computer's reader. If you have a valid subscription and log in to the program, you can freely download any updates you are entitled to and also synchronize them with your device or card.

In addition to the maps themselves, TomTom also enables you to purchase or download free pilot voices, speedcam information, navigation facilities and MapShare map corrections based on data provided by the driver community. Depending on the type of device, TomTom HOME also allows you to purchase or renew your LIVE subscription, which provides you with real-time information about traffic jams, obstructions and accidents. However, in some cases, e.g.

in integrated navigation systems of some car brands, in order to take advantage of LIVE subscription, it is necessary to visit your dealer, which the program will inform you about when you try to purchase it. The interface of the program is very simple and has been translated into English. If the map you are copying does not fit on your device or card, you can choose a specific zone, although not completely free as in some TomTom competitor solutions.

Before copying, the program suggests backing up data from the device or card. Such a copy is saved on the computer's hard drive.
