TightVNC is a free remote computer administration tool based on VNC software. Similarly to RealVNC, as well as Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection or pcAnywhere Symanteca, it allows you to capture the desktop and work remotely on another computer connected to the network. Compared to RealVNC based on similar code, TightVNC is characterized by better image compression properties, which allows for more comfortable work at lower bandwidth.

Similarly to RealVNC, the program consists of two modules - Server and Viewer - used to create an image and its transmission as well as to receive the transmission.
