SPlayer is a media player created by Chinese programmers, which is gaining more and more popularity in the Old Continent. The application, like most competitive solutions, offers support for the most popular audio and video formats (including AVI, RMVB, QuickTime, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AC3/DTS, VP3/6/7, Indeo, MKV, WMV, MP4, MP3, WMA, FLAC), subtitles support (SRT, SUB, SSA, SMI, PSB, TXT, USF, XSS, SSF), the ability to create playlists, organize your favorite media or download subtitles for movies (currently supported is English and Chinese). SPlayer stands out in the player market mainly due to its low system resource utilization (CPU, RAM), small size on disk, the ability to render a movie using a GPU and the openness of the source code.
