Some people say that everyone can really be a cook, because it is enough to throw various tasty things into a pot to cook something. Not everyone will agree with that, but such a view has apparently given the creators of the free game Soup Du Jour to think about. Here we play the role of the chef's assistant cooking the title soup of the day.
We will have to group the ingredients properly and counteract the dangers. The game very much resembles the clones of the cult Tetris, especially those based on combining elements. New objects fall into the pot at the bottom of the screen from time to time.
Our task is to adjust them so that at least four of them are next to each other. Then they will disappear, making room for others, and at the same time the water level will rise. If we get enough soups, we will be promoted to a new stage.
All the fun comes from the unpredictability of the ingredients. They bend in a pseudo-realistic way. As time goes by, more and more types, there are different sizes of accessories, and also bombs or rockets, digging out elements from the bottom of the pot.
Meanwhile, the loss of too many of them simply leads to the end of the game. You have to survive as long as possible, fighting for the best score.
