Smart OCR is a program that will convert scanned documents into editable text files. The tool uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Sometimes it happens that we get important materials in the form of a graphic image and we have to rewrite them manually in a text editor.

However, in order to gain time, we should use Smart OCR application, because it will immediately convert any file into a document that we open using Word (as DOC or RTF), Excel (XLS) or any PDF browser. Smart OCR also supports HTML format. Smart OCR does not make any changes (e.g.

in formatting) during the conversion operation, so both the source and output material are identical. In this case we are talking about texts, photos, lists, headers, columns and many other elements from the original version of the file. If necessary, we will also be able to make the necessary corrections using the built-in text editor.

Smart OCR will offer us the possibility of changing the type and size of the font, it will allow us to bold or emphasize selected fragments, distinguish them in italics and more.
