ShadowProtect Server Edition is a data archiving tool for Windows servers. It is characterized by high speed of operation, allowing for efficient recovery of data after a sudden failure. The program allows you to create full disk backups, which in addition to data also contain all the applications, games and operating system installed on your computer.

The user has the ability to recover only selected files and folders from backups, and in the event of a more serious failure, also the entire contents of the disk - including a different workstation than the one on which the original backup was made. Incremental copies of data can be created according to a fixed schedule (even every 15 minutes) and using a WIFI or 3G connection. The tool does not lack the function of securing backups using 3 different encryption algorithms.

ShadowProtect Server Edition is based on Microsoft VSS technology, which allows you to backup MS SQL or MS Exchange databases without having to stop them. To do this, the tool takes a snapshot of the system from which it is possible to perform a backup. The program uses its own VSS driver, which is the only VSS driver on the market certified by Microsoft, which guarantees that the snapshot from which the backup is made, is performed very quickly and steadily.

The tool allows you to restore an exact copy of a damaged computer or server on new hardware (known as bare-metal restore). When you boot your new computer from the ShadowProtect Recovery CD and indicate the backup to be played, everything happens almost automatically. What is extremely important, the hardware on which the backup image of the server after a failure can be completely different than the one on which the server originally operated (so called Hardware Independent RestoreTM).

In addition, ShadowProtect Server Edition has a unique HeadStart RestoreTM technology that allows you to restore the backup on a virtual machine at the same time that the backup server is running and subsequent incremental backups are created.
