Saladin is a simple, free file manager offering all the basic functions for managing data on your hard drive. It is worth mentioning that the application was created by a Pole. Like most traditional file managers, Saladin also offers a two-panel interface layout that can be used to manage data on the computer.
Among the functions available in the Polish file manager you will find, among others, the ability to copy, move and delete data, a file and directory comparison engine, basic support for FTP protocol and a built-in file and directory search engine. In addition, the application offers the ability to create a list of favourite locations on your hard drive. The program is also equipped with an integrated viewer of text and binary files and the most popular graphic formats (PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO and SVG).
The author also took care of ZIP format support. From the Saladin interface, the user can easily browse the contents of ZIP archives and create new ones using the package option. Saladin takes full advantage of the Windows Shell shell and is an interesting alternative to the default file manager offered by the system.
The manager also allows you to define external tools for viewing files, editing text or comparing files.
