Rufus is a small and very easy to use tool for formatting USB drives and creating bootable ISO images from them. The media prepared with its use may serve as a much faster alternative to CD/DVD discs or the installation carrier of the system for portable computers not equipped with an optical CD/DVD/BD drive. The tool automatically detects all USB disks connected to the computer, allowing you to format them, create a self-starting media with the operating system and check the media for errors (so called bad sectors) after starting (no installation required).

What's more, using Rufus we can create a carrier from which the operating system will be launched (without the need to install). Among the advantages of the tool is the speed of its operation. User tests show that the process of creating a bootable ISO image on a USB drive takes about 30% less time than competing solutions.
