RSS Xpress is a very simple and relatively fast application, allowing you to collect information about new publications on your favorite websites, made available through RSS and Atom channels. At first glance we can see that one of the author's main intentions was to create an RSS reader that was easy and convenient to use. The program is equipped with a simple but clear graphical interface.

The RSS Xpress functionality includes only the most important options in this type of applications. In addition to adding an unlimited number of channels, the user can also freely organize them into categories, for each of them set the time that will be checked, impose passwords, etc. The user can also set the time that will be checked.

Further features include a built-in search engine and filter mechanism to help you navigate when gathering information from multiple sources. Importantly, the messages we are interested in can be opened directly in the program window and not in a web browser, as is the case with most competitive solutions. Notifications take the form of small windows, so-called pop-ups, which can also be accompanied by a selected sound signal. A big advantage of RSS Xpress is the ability to customize the interface to your preferences - such as font size and color, the appearance of notifications and message display template.

RSS Xpress supports proxy servers, supporting RSS feeds 0.90, 0.91, 0.92, 1.0, 2.0.1 and Atom 0.3, 1.0, including those access to which requires login. Any information downloaded through the program is stored locally and can be accessed offline. The application offers the function of importing and exporting channels in the form of OPML files.
