Rigs of Rods is a free project, which quickly became the entire default platform for car enthusiasts, who can model cars, but not only. With an extremely realistic system of deformation of vehicles, as well as the action and interaction of individual mechanical components, this proposal gives you an incredible joy of driving on very uneven terrain. The creators of the basic edition gave enthusiasts of making modifications and add-ons an almost unlimited field to show off.
Every day some new, detailed cars appear. There are also non-standard proposals, such as lifts, tractors, helicopters, planes or even trains. All this will be destroyed in crashes like real vehicles made of steel, rubber, plastic and glass.
The originators of the idea predicted a single game on one of the publicly available maps, when we move around the terrain with a virtual avatar and get behind a wheel or a rudder of some machine. In addition, there is a multi-person option plus a built-in editor if you want to try your hand at designing objects. This is not an easy task, fortunately there are many tutorials on the web, in the details describing the tools.
Before you can start playing the proper game, it is necessary to run the configuration program of the game, i.e. RoRConfig. We also recommend downloading selected free packages with additional content from the constantly expanding repository of this project.
The zip files should be uploaded to the respective directories in the game directory, which the game has created for itself after the installation in (My) User Documentation.
