Retry is a free game that proves that sometimes the simplest idea can provide the most fun out of the game. The production is in a way a tribute to classic shooters from years ago. The modest setting immediately brings to mind the unforgettable Asteroids or Tempest, in which visual impressions were pushed to the background due to the dynamic action and high playability.

The player's goal is to achieve the highest possible score by eliminating graphically efficient opponents approaching the ship. The difficulty is, firstly, that there is no option to move freely on the board, because we are permanently located in the very center of the screen, and secondly, we give a single shot at the moment of ending the movement around our own axis. It is therefore necessary to show not only great dexterity, but also a great deal of intuition.

In later stages the perceptiveness is also useful, because to the basic enemy units moving towards us more slowly, faster or for example after an orbit, they also come for a moment when they disappear. In subsequent rounds the enemy vehicles start to respond with fire to what is the best reaction of our team is their quick elimination. Try to get as many strikes as possible with a single shot, as well as the most accurate hits in a row, because such combos and "chains" have a strong influence on the increase in points.

The game was divided into waves of increasing difficulty. With each layout, enemy ships are moving faster and faster, and there are more and more of them. Luckily, from time to time a player can get support in the form of a radar or strength field.

The struggle with the opponent is enhanced by lively, electronic music, which perfectly harmonizes with the economical, but building a specific atmosphere audiovisual setting suitable for shooters from the past years. It is also worth mentioning that Retry? is the work of quite a well-known Team17 studio - fathers of the extremely popular Worms series among others ;-).
