RedNotebook is a very simple, multi-platform application for collecting all kinds of data, often used as a personal organizer or as a tool for keeping diaries and diaries in electronic version. The interface of the program was created on the basis of GTK library, and thus it is characterized by an archaic appearance, which advantages are simplicity, convenience and speed of operation. The main window is divided into 3 parts, which are responsible for displaying the calendar, cloud with tags, searched items, user entries and tree with categories.

RedNotebook gives you the possibility of basic formatting of entered texts. It is possible to bold, underline, tilt and cross out the font, among other things. In addition, each entry can contain graphics, files, links, scoring lists, etc.

The template function allows you to organize the layout and content of the input data. RedNotebook offers autosave functions, which allows you to automatically save data when you close the program, as well as when you edit it at certain intervals. Both the entire contents of the database, as well as texts from selected days can be saved to text, HTML, Latex or PDF file format.

In addition, the application allows you to create backups in the form of ZIP archives.
