Razer Cortex (formerly Razer Game Booster) is a free computer optimization and acceleration tool designed for computer game fans. It gives you the ability to choose the system settings that will allow you to get the most out of your computer's gaming performance. The program is equipped with two computer acceleration modes - automatic and manual.

The first automatically selects the optimal system settings, while the second allows the user to manually disable unnecessary Windows services such as application use and management services, intelligent background transfer, diagnostics, offline files, finding SSDP and many more. Importantly, the tool does not introduce permanent changes in Windows configuration. With just one click you can activate or deactivate the game mode on your computer.

Other functions offered by Razer Cortex are a module for defragmentation of game directories, which results in shortening the time needed to run them.
