Rapid Environment Editor (RapidEE for short) is a free Windows environment variable editor. It allows you to easily and conveniently modify variable values, making it an ideal alternative to the system's built-in tool for handling system and user variables. The program allows you to conveniently manage all the environmental variables defined in Windows on our computer.
Two columns in the main tool window contain a set of system and user variables. Here you will also find basic information about them and more detailed descriptions. Variables are presented in the form of a tree, which makes it easier to find the values we are interested in.
A big advantage of the tool is the fact that it allows to avoid typical errors, often made when modifying environmental variables with the use of system mechanisms - i.e. wrong path to the file, lack of commas or special characters, etc. The tool can also be used as a source of information about the environment, such as a bad path to the file, lack of commas or special characters, etc.
In addition to the basic functions of copying, pasting and deleting variables, RapidEE also allows you to add new variables and values, edit existing ones, insert paths into files or folders, modify variable types and convert paths. In addition, the editor is able to create backups of variables saved in the form of a registry key (a file with the REG extension).
