Sometimes racing series have evolved over the years to finally give life to completely new brands. This was the case with the Race Driver: GRID project, whose roots go back to TOCA Race Driver games.
Eventually, it appeared on the market simply as GRID and then lived to see its continuation. The fun here focuses, of course, on the fierce competition on the road, but as part of the representation of one's own team of drivers. The work still surprises with its graphic design and advanced effects, and as for its premiere, it introduced a set of interesting innovations.
Among them there was the option of shifting the time back by a few seconds, so that in case of a critical error you don't have to race from the very beginning. This went hand in hand with a completely new, advanced model of destruction. At higher difficulty levels it is difficult to complete the stage.
In the main mode, of course, we earn money by jumping between richer and richer teams and gaining more powerful cars. Cars and tracks are mostly modelled on the existing ones. We compete in the USA, Europe and Japan, taking part in various challenges, not only fighting for a place at the finish line.
There is also drift, spectacular demolition derby, and even round-the-clock racing, for example. The trial version is a small section of a full game, but you can play for a while. It offers three cars and the same number of tracks and gameplay modes to check.
