PowerToys includes add-ons to extend the capabilities of Windows XP and enables better management of the system itself. It consists of the following components:

Open Command Window Here, Alt-Tab Replacement, Tweak UI, Power Calculator, Image Resizer, CD Slide Show Generator, Virtual Desktop Manager, Taskbar Magnifier, HTML Slide Show Wizard and Webcam Timershot. Particularly interesting are the UI Tweak, which gives you the ability to configure the system settings that are not available on a standard basis, and the Virtual Desktop Manager, which allows you to use four virtual desktops. This tool gives you the ability to configure system settings that are not available from the standard user interface.

These include e.g. mouse settings, Windows Explorer, task bar. Power Calculator Thanks to this tool you can calculate and graphically present function results as well as perform various types of data conversions.

Image Resizer Using this tool you will be able to scale the size of one or more image files using the right mouse button. CD Slide Show Generator This tool allows you to view the image files on the CD as an image overview. The generator also works on computers running Windows 9x.

Virtual Desktop Manager Allows you to manage four Windows desktops from the task bar. Taskbar Magnifier With this tool you will be able to enlarge any part of your Windows desktop. HTML Slide Show Wizard This wizard will help you to create a preview of your image files as HTML pages, which can then be published on a website.

Webcam Timershot Using this tool you will be able to determine the interval between pictures taken by a digital camera connected to your computer and where to store them.
