PNGmicro is a program for converting PNG files so that they take up as little disk space as possible. It is based on lossless conversion and saves up to 50% of the file size (in most cases 20-40%), but for an even greater effect it is possible to activate loss compression. It is also possible to remove the color profile embedded in the graphics and rename files during compression.
The only thing you need to do is to drag the files you want to process to the application workspace, and then start the conversion process. The action is based on preferences that can be changed in the settings (we will change them by sliding the panel to the right of the interface). The most important of these is the slider, which shows the compression level that we want to achieve on the edited graphics.
Theoretically, the higher it is, the greater the effectiveness of the application's operation (which is bought with a longer time of waiting for the result). In our opinion, the increase in compression efficiency regulated by the main slider is much less pronounced than the time needed to complete the process - the program is very effectively smaller volume of files already at the second and third level (out of six available). Then it works almost instantaneously for a dozen or so graphics, and the effects can be really satisfying.
