Password Depot is a tool for collecting and safely storing a list of passwords for various Internet portals, social networking sites or online banking. It also allows you to collect data about credit cards, software licenses, other confidential information and encrypted files. Working with the program is based on so-called groups, i.e.
encrypted databases, in which the user saves data and information he would like to protect. They are nothing more than a secure file on the hard disk, which can store up to thousands of items. In order to protect valuable data for us, we can place a selected group of passwords in any place outside the computer, e.g.
on a portable external memory or memory card. The tool provides a very good protection of our data against force attacks, dictionary attacks or keyloggers that steal information entered using the keyboard. Another useful feature is the protection of the system clipboard.
When adding more passwords to Password Depot, their strength and the time it would take to crack them is checked. The tool, of course, allows you to automatically generate secure passwords based on e.g. a selected word, as well as to automatically enter passwords in your web browser.
All data collected within the program is protected by double encryption with the AES algorithm (Rijndael 256) - using the main program password and an internal key. There was also a virtual on-screen keyboard function.
