PassMark SoundCheck is a small and free tool that allows you to comprehensively test your computer's sound card, speakers and microphone. It allows you to check the sound system for recording and playback at different sample rates. With its help we will also diagnose the ability of speakers to reproduce sounds at low and high frequencies, thanks to the test signal shaping function (and their looping), which will allow us to observe all the distortions generated.

The program is equipped with a built-in tone generator, which gives the possibility to generate test sounds in the frequencies selected by us. They can be realized in the form of sinusoidal waves and noise, and their progress can be illustrated live through the frequency spectrum graph, generated by the fast Fourier transform algorithm. PassMark SoundCheck allows simultaneous recording and playback of sound (duplex sound card required), supporting sample rates from 5000Hz to 128,000 Hz and enabling 8-, 16- and 24-bit audio.
