Norton Power Eraser is a small and stand-alone tool developed by Symantec to fight against fake software that impersonates familiar applications. It is a perfect complement to standard antiviruses, well able to detect and remove a specific type of pests such as scareware and rogueware, which after installation in the system lead the user to unwittingly download further malicious components from the Internet. Norton Power Eraser does not require installation, has a friendly interface in Polish and is very easy to use.

When started, it scans the contents of the drive or the selected folder thoroughly, and then allows you to remove selected items that may pose a potential threat to you. The program works based on sessions, enabling quick restoration of the system to its original state in case of e.g. removal of correct applications.
