After taking a break from the development of the FlatOut series, Bugbear Entertainment began to develop more races with an advanced damage system. The game was born under the obvious name Next Car Game, and then the work was renamed Wreckfest, so that the title more reflects the atmosphere of production. In order to encourage PC players to place orders for this proposal, they were also offered a demonstration of new technology.
In a fully free, joyful pill, everything that distinguishes the completed project has been condensed. We land in an automotive sandbox. Our toy is an accessible car, beautifully disintegrating into parts, crumbling and knocking over on a virtual obstacle course built from scratch.
At any time we restore it to a state of novelty, trying to destroy it in yet another way. In addition to various forms of crushers, separate attractions include bent tracks, which simply need to be driven from start to finish. However, getting out of the route is also enjoyable, because a car lowered from a height can realistically penetrate the ground, delighting eyes, and in addition, each time it looks different.
Ultimately, Wreckfest wants to be the cult ideological heir to Destruction Derby. The demo version offers a free driving mode in an environment devised by the creators to destroy the car in many ways and to undertake breakneck tests in the vehicle. As such, the technology demo can be treated as a decent quality mini game for stress relieving.
