Office package by Polish company FERRO Software. The package consists of two basic programs with their own sounding names: Edit - text editor and Arkadiusz - spreadsheet.

The interface similar to Microsoft products makes it very easy to "change over" to miniOffice. The programs in the package do not provide as many functions as Word and Excel, but they offer everything that is really necessary in everyday work. Particularly noteworthy is the dictionary of the Polish language, integrated with the text editor, containing 2.5 million words.

Among the competing packages, miniOffice stands out for its unprecedentedly low system requirements - only a 486 class processor, 12 MB of memory and Windows 95 operating system. It supports the most commonly used document formats, including Microsoft Office Word (DOC), Rich Text Format (RTF). The current version is equipped with a new text rendering engine.

The program can now support CSS style sheets and document templates. Built-in dictionary of the Polish language containing more than 2.5 million words, allowing you to check spelling on an ongoing basis, has been enriched with an auxiliary user dictionary. Thanks to this, everyone can define their own specific words, which are not in the main dictionary.

In the latest edition there is also a practical document search engine. It can be used to find PDF, DOC, RTF, TXT, HTML files containing a specific word or phrase. For professionals, a window presenting statistics of the edited document and built-in Adobe PageMaker tag support will certainly prove useful.

Spreadsheets Arkadiusz Can read and save data in Microsoft Office Excel (XLS) format. It supports more than 130 athematic, statistical and financial functions. The new version has added the ability to draw graphs, so that you can present numerical data in graphical form.

In version 1.0 we introduced support for the most popular graphic formats and objects, such as the checkbox or the drop-down list.
