Media Player Classic - BE (MPC-BE for short) is a media player, created on the basis of Media Player Classic programs and the very popular Media Player Classic Home Cinema. It offers support for a wide range of audio and video formats, including VCD/SVCD, DVD, BD and Internet streams. The program allows us to play multimedia (music and movies) in almost all available formats, without requiring the installation of external filters and AV codecs.

With its help we will be able to watch on a computer the video materials played from the hard disk, CD/DVD/BD media placed in the drive, as well as streamed via the Internet. MPC-BE offers playlist functions, various image rendering modes, advanced sound and image customization options, filter management and shaders (shading). There was no shortage of subtitles in many formats.

In addition, MPC-BE gives the user the ability to adjust the playback speed, change the soundtrack and subtitles during playback (e.g. for multilingual DVD-Video media), view individual video frames, scale and crop the image, and create bookmarks with the stored position of the player (useful when you want to finish watching the movie at a later date). Importantly, the program allows you to use the GPU for rendering and displaying the image on your computer.

Compared to its predecessors, MPC-BE has at first glance a slightly different, more refined graphical interface. Other changes, although there are a lot of them, are no longer visible to the ordinary user and include improvements and modifications to the protoplasty.
