Macrium Reflect Free is a popular tool for archiving data. The program allows you to back up entire hard disks or selected partitions and save them to a specified location - hard disk, local network or CD/DVD. Work with it is done through a wizard, which guides the user through the entire archiving process.

Thanks to Microsoft Volume Shadow copy Service (VSS) technology, Macrium Reflect is able to perform backups of a working system, and the Rescue CD function allows you to restore it to the indicated partition during a sudden crash, for example. The backup can also be optionally compressed. Macrium Reflect supports both internal and external hard drives (IDE, SATA, SCSI, USB, IEEE 1394 (FireWire)) as well as NTFS (all versions), FAT16/32 and Ext2/3FS file systems.
