Lucid is a program for quick and automated photo enhancement, using the same algorithms as the Perfectly Clear plug-in, but working independently. The Lucid interface is very simple. After dragging an image into the main window, you can use one of eight predefined settings.
You can, of course, use a few after each other, for example, first remove the noise, then improve the model's face, and finally increase the brightness of the colors - but you have to save the result each time. There are two filters that retouch portraits (unfortunately, they can't do if you see more than one face in the picture), settings that bring out details, remove noise, brighten up the photo, brighten shadows (perfect for backlighting when the foreground is dark), remove the color of artificial light (very good for party photos) and improve landscape photos. Some modifications can also be made manually.
In the second tab with tools you will find sliders to control the exposure, color brightness, noise, tinting, as well as a separate set for portrait retouching. Here you can precisely adjust the level of teeth whitening, skin smoothing, brightening of shadows under the eyes and the like, cosmetic changes. Often, however, what the machine can do with the photo is quite sufficient.
Lucid allows you to work with photos saved in popular raster formats (JPG, TIFF), and photos from the Photos library. The program is not suitable for processing RAWs. The program can be tested for 31 days.
