LightWave 3D is a set of professional tools for modeling, rendering and animation of three-dimensional scenes and effects, whose huge potential has been repeatedly used by creators of many popular cinema productions (Titanic, Sin City, Fantastic Four, Harry Potter, Spider-Man, Matrix), computer games (Quake IV, Doom III, Diablo) and TV series (Babylon 5, SyFy productions). It consists of 2 programs - Modeler and Layout, which allow you to create objects, as well as animating and rendering them, respectively. LightWave 3D has its own scripting language (LScript), with which many extensions have already been developed, and version 11 of the program introduced support commonly recognized in the Python environment.
One of the most popular is an alternative renderer called Kray. An unquestionable advantage of the program are huge configuration possibilities of keyboard shortcuts, thanks to which everyone can adjust the way of operating the application to their individual preferences.
