LazPaint is an easy-to-use and free application for creating and editing raster graphics, available for Windows and Linux. The program supports most of the most popular graphic formats and has a set of tools for efficient basic photography processing. The application is equipped with a graphical interface, which does not differ significantly from solutions known from other graphical programs and provides convenient access to all tools offered.

In the main window you will find 3 independent toolboxes with basic selection and drawing functions, layer mechanism and color management palette. All other tools are available via menus or keyboard shortcuts. In addition to the tools mentioned above, the user also gets a large set of functions, useful during a simple retouching of photographs.

We are talking about colour management tools or graphic effects. LazPaint is a fast and efficient program that allows you to preview the individual editing steps of your photos in real time. Built-in renderers are an interesting solution that you can meet in the program.

With their help we can easily and comfortably generate e.g. a spectacular background with water, wood, stone, etc. Among the graphical formats supported by LazPaint are BMP, GIF, ICO, JPG, JPEG, LZP, ORA, PDN and PNG.
