The Kindle for PC application is used to read e-books purchased from Amazon.com. The user can create their own library of electronic books, segregate them and browse by several categories: most frequently read, as well as by title and author's name.

While reading a selected item you can use the menu to move to the beginning of the book, see the cover and the table of contents. The program automatically remembers the place where we stopped reading, so we don't have to worry that after reopening it, we'll have to search for the page where we've recently finished. What is more, the application is synchronized with the version for PCs, as well as iPhone and BlackBerry.

We can use the same database of titles on different devices. We can add notes to the books we read.
