IrfanView is a fast and very popular graphic file viewer with very extensive capabilities. The program allows you to view both image files in many formats, including RAW files from many digital cameras, icons from executable files and libraries, multi-page TIFFs, as well as multimedia files, and even Video CDs. IrfanView also has basic tools for file cataloguing, basic graphics processing and file conversion (also automated).

Here you will also find elementary functions for painting, vector shapes and the ability to level the photo. In addition, the program allows you to work with the scanner, take screenshots and prepare screensavers (SCR) with a slide show. It can be operated with the mouse, keyboard and command line shortcuts.

The built-in file manager is very fast, it has the ability to search files and present thumbnails of files. Its main advantage, however, are optional plug-ins, e.g. for playing music files, so that the program's capabilities are limited only by the imagination of users.
