InSpectre is a simple tool to check the vulnerability of Windows systems to the famous Meltdown and Spectre attacks. The tool does not need installation or access to the Internet. When activated, it assesses the security status at the level of the processor microcode and the operating system itself.
It also shows the estimated impact of patches on Meltdown and Spectre on PC performance. If your computer with active patches is unstable, or the overhead is too high, you can disable the patches by clicking the Disable Meltdown Protection / Disable Spectre Protection buttons. Of course we can also turn on the patches again.
After each state change, the system must be restarted.
