iCloud Control Panel is a tool for connecting your Windows computer to Apple's iCloud service. iCloud is a service that allows you to store your data such as email, calendar, contacts, tasks, documents, music, photos and more on Apple servers. Importantly, all iCloud content is automatically and immediately (provided that certain requirements are met, such as wireless connectivity) and is pushed to other devices, such as iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
The iCloud Control Panel is used to download these photos and other cloud content to your computer as well. The application allows you to synchronise mail, calendar, contacts and tasks with Outlook. You can also synchronize bookmarks with Internet Explorer or Safari browsers.
You can also sync photos in Photo Stream - in the application settings, you can select the folders where the photos are downloaded.
