HitmanPro (formerly Hitman Pro) is a scanner designed to check if the system has not been infected by malware including viruses, trojans, rootkits, worms, spyware, keyloggers or false software. The program works on the basis of the cloud model by scanning the computer for malware and analyzing potential online threats using engines of applications such as Bitdefender and Kaspersky. HitmanPro also uses advanced detection technology to detect malware by monitoring the behavior of the program, rather than checking checksums or threat signatures.

Behaviour analysis allows each file to be assigned a degree of threat to the system. HitmanPro is considered by many to be one of the best additions to antivirus software. What is important, in case of lack of access to the Internet, the program allows to identify threats with the use of a built-in behavioural scanner.

The tool also allows you to use the VirusTotal service, which analyzes suspicious files and URLs and identifies viruses, worms, trojans and many other types of malware online. In order to use it, you need to register with VirusTotal to receive an API key to the service.
