The plot of Hero Plus refers to a legend whose main character Qin Shi Huangdi (also known as Qin Shi Huang) possessed a great treasure that he decided to hide on Chinese territory. Twelve Demons have always wanted to capture the treasure. Finally they attacked ancient China and, wreaking havoc and terror, came into possession of the desired prey.

Fortunately, there was someone who did not lack the courage to oppose them. The mysterious hero trapped the Demons, but unfortunately, some time after this event, Twelve Demons escaped from the trap and their conqueror was murdered. Order in the world can now only be brought about by the great warrior who was called to life.

At the beginning of the game the player chooses one of the four available characters (The Ruthless Blade, Overseer of the Sky, The Elegant Mystic or Piercing Eye) and then assigns it a specific social status (Warrior, Hunter, Physician or Assassin). Each character has special powers that create the individuality of each of them (jumping over high obstacles, walking on water or the various character of armament). As time passes, each character acquires more and more experience, abilities and new skills.
