GstarCAD is a tool for creating 2D and 3D technical drawings, considered by many as the best and cheapest alternative to the popular AutoCAD. The program is equipped with a rich set of functions for drawing various types of lines, shapes, dimensioning both in two- and three-dimensional space. Individual tools are grouped on tabs in the ribbon interface.

GstarCAD allows you to work with ACIS solids and also offers support for DXF and DWG files (created e.g. in AutoCAD from 2.5 to 2012). Importantly, no conversions are made when they are opened, so there is no loss of data.

In addition, the environment supports familiar Autodesk product commands, scripts, styles, patterns, and more. GstarCAD offers the possibility of working with one license on many computers, as well as network operation (so called floating license). The environment is equipped with a VBA editor, is compatible with SDS and GRX (equivalent to ARX), gives you the ability to use Lisp/Vlisp scripts and provides full data exchange with Excel.

The program is perfect for working with advanced and complex projects, as well as cooperating with many industry overlays, such as CADprofi, BiK, Mapa_SG in the field of architecture, mechanics, electrical engineering, steel structures, reinforced concrete, ventilation, geodesy and others. The latest version is based on a new engine, optimized for speed and the use of operating resources. GstarCAD allows you to export in DWFX, STL, EPS, DXX formats, import from SAT, 3DS, WMF files and publish in PDF and 3D DWF.
