GraphicsGale is an unusual tool for raster graphics editing, designed for lovers of pixel art, formerly used in video games, and now increasingly used by independent game developers (indie). This does not mean, of course, that a person who is not very passionate about games cannot take an interest in it - the program is also great for editing icons or Windows cursors, among others. The program allows you to create graphics in many color palettes, from 1 bit (two colors), through 4 and 8 bit, to 24 bit.
Operation of the application certainly requires some practice, if only because of the large number of frequently used tools placed on the top bar, just below the menu bar. Among the available tools you will not find anything non-standard: pencil, drawing quadrangles and circles, joined lines and curves, filling in with colour.
As befits a retro fan tool, we can easily perform operations on individual pixels to achieve maximum precision. With a bit of talent and patience, GraphicsGale is the ideal tool for graphic designers fascinated with pixel art and more. The effects of our work can be saved as JPEG, BMP, PNG, TGA and even AVI files.
Compared to the free version, commercial edition allows you to create animated GIFs, edit (load and save) icons (ICO) and edit static and animated system cursors.
