fmedia seems to be another ordinary media player, but in fact it offers additional useful functions. This tool not only lets you run selected music tracks. Thanks to it we will also be able to record sound from the microphone, save songs from the Internet radio and convert files.
We can decode songs to the following formats: mp3, .ogg (Vorbis, Opus), .opus, .m4a/.mp4 (AAC, ALAC, MPEG), .mka/.mkv (AAC, ALAC, MPEG, Vorbis), .avi (AAC, MPEG), .aac, .mpc, .flac, .ape, .wv, and .wav. There is also an option to encode songs and other audio material to mp3, .ogg, .opus, .m4a (AAC), .flac and .wav.
fmedia is an application available completely free of charge (open-source license), which to a negligible extent uses the system resources of the computer and successfully works also on weaker machines. Thanks to the ability to install plugins, we can extend the functionality of the program by additional options.
