File Shredder is a free application designed to remove files/folders from your computer drive. Contrary to the Windows Trash Removal function, the program offers 5 different data deletion algorithms for greater security. These include the DoD 5220-22 method and the Guttman algorithm.

In addition, the application has a useful option to clean free disk space. The main File Shredder options for deleting data are available in the context menu. To do so, simply right-click on the document.
