Editra is a free and multi-platform text editor, designed for programmers and webmasters. This program offers a rich set of features that allow you to conveniently create and edit the code of web pages and applications in many of the most popular programming languages. Despite its extensive functionality, the application is characterized by high speed of operation.

It can be successfully used to work on simple as well as more complex web design or software. The user has at his disposal an editor equipped, among others, with a card mechanism that allows working with many files at the same time, a line numbering function that is useful when editing more complex projects, as well as code syntax coloring in 60 most popular languages. In addition, the programmer receives an auto-complete and code hints module for Python, HTML, XML, the ability to work with the editor from the command line, configurable user profiles, support for Unicode and the ability to export code to HTML/RTF/Latex files.

The functionality of Editra can be extended by means of publicly available plug-ins. With their help we will introduce to the application options for remote work with files on external servers, script support, disk content browser, etc.
