Eclipse is an extensive development environment created by IBM and passed on to the Open Source community, whose main advantage is the support of plug-ins extending its capabilities to support multiple languages of code creation. Among the many plugins we can find those responsible for supporting writing applications in Java, C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Actionscript 2, AmigaDT, creating GUI, etc. The plug-ins can be found in the following languages:
Java, C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Actionscript 2, AmigaDT, creating GUI, etc. Eclipse has features such as error verification, auto code completion and syntax highlighting. The program was written in Java so it is very flexible and can be run on different platforms (Windows, Linux).
In addition to the IDE, the platform includes tools such as the Web Tools Platform Project for building web services and applications, C/C++ Development Tooling for application development in C/C++, a complete Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools reporting tool, an Eclipse Modeling Framework code generator and a Graphical Editing Framework for creating graphical user interfaces.
