Easy 7-Zip is a free software for data compression, which was created on the basis of the popular 7-Zip (version 15.06). It offers full functionality of its protoplastic, and additionally introduces a number of minor changes and modifications, aimed at improving the convenience of working with the tool. The program does not make any changes to the compression engine itself.

It still has a high compression ratio of 7z format. The creator, James Hoo, focused on modifying the options available from the context menu. There are icons in it, and the functions are sorted.

Among the changes to the original 7-Zip you will also find the ability to minimize the progress window when decompressing files and the options to display the contents of the destination folder and delete the archives after unpacking the files contained in them. Easy 7-Zip supports archives in 7z, ARJ, BZIP2, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DEB, DMG, FAT, GZIP, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, TAR, UDF, VHD, WIM, XAR, XZ, Z and ZIP formats. Apart from the possibility of basic data compression/decompression, the program also enables comparing and generating MD5 checksums, securing archives with AES-256 algorithm and creating self-extracting SFX archives.
