DVD Chief is a video cataloging application that makes it easy to manage, collect and store information about our video collection. It allows you to conveniently organize our entire collection of optical media (DVD and Blu-ray), hard disks and NAS, as well as those stored in the form of an ISO image. The program can automatically retrieve information about a movie after inserting a disc or indicating an ISO image.

It is also possible to manually search for information about films by typing its title in the built-in browser. DVD Chief supports the following online databases with information for cinema enthusiasts - DVDempire, IMDB, DVDList.kazart.com, Blu-ray.com, Amazon, Kinopoisk.ru, TheTVDB and TheMovieDB.org. The data downloaded automatically by the program can be freely modified by the user.

It can easily change the description and all kinds of information about the film, the actors who appear in it, as well as collect images showing e.g. favourite scenes in a catalogue. DVD Chief is also equipped with a number of useful tools for sorting and filtering the collection, which turn out to be irreplaceable when our database contains information about a larger number of films.

The application also includes functions for creating a list of borrowed films, a database of links to online shops where they can be purchased, as well as an extensive statistics and reports module. DVD Chief supports Unicode, which allows you to store media information in multiple languages. It is equipped with a graphical interface, based on the ribbon mechanism well known from the Office package.

Despite the lack of the Polish language version, even a novice user will be able to handle the program without any problems.
