DreamChess is an ambitious free project that wants to show the chess game in different light. This title is distinguished mainly by different graphic skins, but the producers have not forgotten about the development of quite sensible artificial intelligence of the opponent's computer. Of course, it's also possible to play with a companion sitting next to you.

Just invite him in front of the monitor. The player can choose a classic setting, when the 3D pawns look like made of wood, go towards a fancy fight between fire and water, or choose a two-dimensional projection of the action. On the one hand, there is a typical view of a chessboard, similar to those used in television games to show subsequent moves, and on the other hand, there is an artistic sketch with cigarette-like pawns.

The work offers a very clear user interface. It saves the order of moves and at the same time gives the option to return not only to the last but also to the previous ones. Of course, the game will also inform us with an alarm message when a rival makes a chess match.

A very helpful feature is to save the state of the game in order to be able to return to the game after a break. There is not always time for thinking, and yet chess is a longer mental entertainment, requiring attention and moments for reflection.
