Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition is a free but functionally limited version of Microsoft Digital Image Suite for cataloguing and editing photos. Due to its purpose, the application does not have, of course, as much capabilities as professional tools for processing raster graphics (including photos) but it will successfully check home, even quite demanding applications. It allows us to easily catalogue, process and share digital photographs with other users without any advanced knowledge of the subject.

The main advantage of the program is its clear interface and relatively simple operation despite the lack of a Polish-speaking interface. The latest version of the program also works under the control of Windows Vista. Free version of Starter Edition for 60 days after installation has active all functions from the full and most extended version of Suite (the family includes also the Standard version).

After this period, the number of available functions is significantly reduced.
