DeskNotifier is a small tool dedicated to users of mobile devices with Android operating system. It allows you to view event notifications from your smartphone or tablet on your computer screen. The program can inform the user through animated balloons about events such as incoming calls, received text messages or e-mails, tasks to perform from the Astrid list, notifications from Facebook and many others.

In the case of SMS messages, DeskNotifier also allows you to read their content without physical contact with the phone, as well as create and send new messages or respond to previously read messages. Operation and configuration of the tool is relatively simple and should not cause any problems to anyone. What is important, in order for the connection with a mobile device and a computer to be properly established, a smartphone or tablet must work under the control of Android, and both of them must be within the same wireless network.

An exception to the latter is the connection made using a USB cable. Additionally, a client application with the same name should be installed on the mobile device, which is available in the Google Play store. Configuration of the connection is limited to giving the application in the device appropriate permissions (for WiFi connection, services related to SMS, etc.), and then rewriting the IP number visible in the mobile version of the application to the option of the tool installed on the computer.
